Our internal formulas contain alcohol which acts as a preservative, therefore they do not have a shelf-life if stored properly. The topicals are preserved with high-quality Vitamin E, so we find that if stored in a cool dark place, they can generally last 4+ years after purchasing.
The advantage to taking a fluid extract is that it is bioavailable to the body immediately. This means it can take effect much more quickly than pills or powders, and are easy to administer with a dropper or teaspoon. The other advantage is that due to utilizing alcohol as an extraction solvent, our extractions do not expire.
Store in a dark location (away from sunlight), at room temperature.
Alcohol can be removed pretty quickly and easily. In summary, add formula to an ounce of steaming hot water, and allow a few minutes for the alcohol to steam off. Or, apply a portion of formula to heat using a small saucepan on stovetop simmering on very low heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute until all alcohol is removed. Keep remaining liquid refrigerated because it does not have the alcohol preservative. For more detailed instructions, feel free to contact us directly.

Our ingredients’ listing system represents where we source our high-quality herbs. If the pin yin (Chinese name) is provided on the label, this means the herbal component was sourced from Spring Wind Herbs or another trusted Chinese herb distributor. If the Latin name is provided, we either sourced from our local organic gardens (fresh/wildcrafted), or from our trusted western herb distributors, specifically Mountain Rose Herbs or Starwest Botanicals.
No. Our organic corn alcohol is fully gluten-free. None of our herbal components contain gluten. We manufacture in a facility that is exposed to products containing gluten.
Yes, all of our herbal formulas are Vegan. They are also cruelty-free and not tested on animals.
Great question! There are a multitude of ways to give your pet our herbal formulas. You can drop the liquid directly into their mouth with a dropper. For most cats and dogs however, direct dosage can be difficult. Giving the pet formula on a special food treat can be the easiest way to have them ingest it. The formula can also be added to their drinking water, however this method is not the best way to ensure that your pet has ingested the herbs.
In general, babies and small children can take herbs. Please contact your Health Practitioner to discuss your child’s specific needs, correct dosage, and best methods for your baby to ingest our formulas if they are under 10 pounds.
Consult with your health practitioner about your specific needs. Depending on the formula and the herbs, or what your health status is, formulas can be taken for a wide duration of time, ranging from a few days to several weeks or months.

Martha believed that Olive Oil was the best option for a wide range of skin types. Olive oil is highly absorbable and amazing for skin tissue and has traditionally been used for its anti-oxidant and anti-aging properties. It also lasts longer on the shelf then other oil carriers, making it more cost-effective for the consumer. We use high-grade cold pressed Extra-Virgin Olive Oil for all our herbal infusions.
What makes our formulas very unique is the inclusion of proprietary homeopathics in some of our products. Homeopathics have shown to support recovery and healing in conjunction with herbs. Research studies show that homeopathics are proven especially effective in children and animals.
Although we would love to grow all of our herbs, we are grateful for our amazing resources for high-quality and well-tested herbs when we are not able to source fresh grown herbs locally or in our gardens. Please learn more by visiting Our Approach.
